"Never let another person's opinion of you become your goal." - T.D. Jakes
When we aspire to become the person others expect or want us to be we risk losing the person God created within us. One of the most important missions in life is the search of self. At a young age we engage in activities and associate with certain people in attempts to fit in and find our niche. Whether we are accepted or rejected - the sad reality is that we begin to base our self-worth and identity on the opinions of others.
The opinions of others are mere thoughts that are based on their own emotions and personal experiences. We have to realize the things that matter most are those things that we believe. We need to get to a point where the only opinion that matters is God's. And according to God, you are the apple of His eye. (Zechariah 2:8)
"Now in the Law, Moses commanded us to stone such women; what then do You say?"They were saying this, testing Him, so that they might have grounds for accusing Him. But Jesus stooped down and with His finger wrote on the ground."But when they persisted in asking Him, He straightened up, and said to them, "He who is without sin among you, let him be the first to throw a stone at her."Again He stooped down and wrote on the ground. When they heard it, they began to go out one by one, beginning with the older ones, and He was left alone, and the woman, where she was, in the center of the court. Straightening up, Jesus said to her, "Woman, where are they? Did no one condemn you?" She said, "No one, Lord." And Jesus said, "I do not condemn you, either Go from now on sin no more." - John 8:7-11
Be Inspired...to see yourself the way God sees you - that's lovely, precious and full of potential.
